Panama City Beach Florida is separate from the older and larger inland Panama City to the east. Panama City Beach’s slogan is “The World’s Most Beautiful Beaches.”
Panama City Beach is an extremely popular spring break destination! It is sometimes called: “The Spring Break Capital of the World.”
There’s more to this area that a Spring Break Haven. Did you know that you can learn about winemaking at the Chautauqua Vineyards? They are the largest vineyards in Florida, located in DeFuniak Springs. The Destin Winery on Emerald Coast Highway whips up some interesting wines grapes from this area.

DeFuniak Springs has about 250 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, mostly clustered around Lake DeFuniak between Nelson and Park Avenue.
In Panama CIty Beach when you are not working on your tan, you can visit the Miracle Strip at Pier Park. The kids will love it; $29 for a book of 10 tickets to ride the Tilt-A-Whirl and the Carousel. There’s also plenty of fishing and golfing for dad.
