The Industrial Heritage Museum (Il Museo del Patrimonio Industriale), Via della Beverara 123, +39 051 6356611.

  • The production history of the city and its territory through machines, models, working models, exhibits, laboratory equipment, scientific instruments accompanied by interactive structures and documentaries.
  • Just outside of Modena, The Galleria Ferrari allows you to complete your car museum-hopping adventure. Head over to the Ferrari Museum. The museum is located in Maranello, a town just outside Modena around 34 miles from Bologna. Although the museum is part of Ferrari’s headquarters, it has its own building separate from the Ferrari factory. Of the three museums in your itinerary, the Ferrari Museum is the oldest, dating back to 1990. The museum spans an amazing space and is divided into four sections: the Formula One collection, the special exhibits, the technological innovation exhibit, and the photo exhibits.
  • The Formula One collection displays race cars including the first Ferrari 125 S that was built in 1947 and won a race in the same year. To give you a glimpse of what FI racing is all about, you can check out the Fiorano test track next to the museum where you might even see a Ferrari racing past.

  • The Ferrari Museum in Maranello collects only the most famous Ferrari cars and exhibits prizes, photographs and other historical objects related to the history of the great Italian car brand.

  • Like its brother, the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena, the Maranello Museum also consists of a permanent section and a part dedicated to temporary exhibitions.
  • The permanent section is the real temple of cars enthusiasts, it reconstructed the first office of Enzo Ferrari in Modena – the place where, in 1929, the myth of the Prancing Horse began.
  • The Maranello Museum also hosts the impressive hall of victories, which celebrates the victories of Scuderia Ferrari through an overview of the World Championship FI cars from 1999 to 2008; the hall collects more than 110 trophies and the original helmets of the 9 World Champions Pilots in the Ferrari history.
