Julmarknad is the Museum’s annual Christmas Bazaar, where traditional Scandinavian and modern handicrafts will be available for purchase.

You can shop for your favorite Swedish and non-Swedish holiday gifts and more in the Museum main floor gallery.

Visit the Children’s Museum for crafts, games, and a special visit from Santa! It’s entertainment for the whole family and includes a kaffestuga, Lucia processions, and folk dancers ($2 suggested admissions donation.)

Santa will be at Julmarknad on both days at two different times–starting at 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and again from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.  We will also have Lucia performances on both days–starting on Saturday, Dec. 3 with Nordic

Voices from 1:30 p.m. to 1:50 p.m.; and continuing on Sunday, Dec. 4 with Svenska Skolan from 12:30 p.m. to 12:50 p.m.

The Museum Store will have special hours for Julmarknad.

It will remain open on Saturday, Dec. 3 until 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 4 until 5 p.m.

If you’d like to see a preview of what will be available at Julmarknad, come visit the Museum Store during Late Night Andersonville on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.!
