A Weekend of Fun at The Fulton Market Harvest Fest 2018

Fulton Market Harvest Fest 2018 brings together the country’s best chefs, fantastic craft beer, live music and Chicago’s best restaurants for a weekend of culinary fun. There will be special charity dinners, food and beverage classes, cooking demonstrations and a neighborhood street fest.

Proceeds from the fest will benefit a variety of charities such as Pilot Light, Greater Chicago Food Depository, and Share Our Strength

CLASSES:

SAKE TASTING CLASS

WHAT: Lindsay Ansai, Sake Director of Momotaro, will be offering a class covering the foundations of sake with 5 to 6 different sakes to sample. Guests will also take home swag bags!

IT’S 5:00 SOMEWHERE COCKTAIL CLASS

WHAT: Join us for an interactive cocktail class led by professional Mixologists Ivy Mix and Lynnette Marrero! The class features a food snack pairing from Goat Group Catering and is perfect for all skill sets and backgrounds!

BEER & CHEESE: FALLING FOR THE BEST PAIRING OF THE SEASON

WHAT: Forget Pumpkin Spiced Lattes, this fall you should be looking forward to beer and cheese! Cara Condon, Goose Island’s very own Certified Cheese Professional, will lead the class through seasonal pairings featuring a selection of Goose Island’s vintage beers and the cheese that pairs best with them.

BUTCHER DEMO AND CLASS

WHAT: To honor the West Loop’s Meat Packing history, check out this butcher class and demo with Rob Levitt of Local Foods & the Butcher and Larder. Charcuterie lovers will learn the basics of meat-making techniques!See how the pros do it and maybe learn to do it yourself!

DARK MATTER’S COFFEE TRIP TO TOKYO

WHAT: Featuring some of their rarest coffees, including odd fermentation and 4 different yeast fermentation’s of the same coffee. They will also preview their slow dried black honey process Gesha before showcasing these coffees to their friends at Craftheads Shibuya in Tokyo. Rarity comes when you least expect it. Includes a goodie bag to take home!
