Top Attractions and Events in Lake Tahoe 2014

Lake Tahoe spans the Nevada/California border. There are plenty of recreational adventures near Lake Tahoe’s 191 square miles of sapphire waters. At 6225 feet high, winter sports enthusiasts ski and snowboard. Squaw Valley was the venue for the 1960 WInter Olympics. The 22 mile “Big Blue” lake is the largest alpine lake in North America. Take a narrated, scenic paddleboat ride around the lake and learn about her history. There are 72 miles of shoreline to explore. Ride the Sky Express to the top of Heavenly’s highest peak for a magnificent panorama of the entire lake.
