Which winery grew from a small Moscato producer to “one of the best and biggest wineries in Italy, using 100% etsate grown fruit”? The answer is LA SPINETTA. In 1977, Giuseppe Rivetti and his son Georgio, began producing Moscato d’Asti. Today, La Spinetta combines three properties in Piedmont and one in Tuscany.
“The finest estates around the world have been invited to participate and showcase fruits of their labour at the ten-day long gastronomic extravaganza that is the World Gourmet Summit 2014.”
La Spinetta was selected as one of those wineries.
The Tuscan estate has 65 hectares of Sangiovese and Vermentino vineyards.
The Barolo Campe winery is Giorgio’s home. In 2011, Giorgio also acquired Piedmont’s oldest classic method sparkling wine producer, Contratto.
