Chicago Chef’s Week 2011

Image via Wikipedia

Just when I was recovering from the weight I gained during Restaurant Week. I feel compelled to make reservations for the 3rd annual Chef’s Week extravaganza. It will take place between March 20th and March 26th when about 40 top-notch Chicago restaurants will offer special menus and signature dishes www.chicagochefweek.com. Make your reservations ASAP at www.opentable.com

Executive Chefs will prepare outstanding meals at bargain prices. A three-course prix fixe lunch will set you back $22 and dinner will be $33. Chef Giuseppe Tentori’s Michelin-starred Boka is on the roster. So is Green Zebra’s Shawn McClain. He won the James Beard’s “Best Chef for the Midwest” and will dazzle you with his vegetarian cuisine.

Here’s a list of some of the restaurants that didn’t participate in Restaurant Week:

 Hawaiian-inspired Sola www.sola-restaurant.com

Greek inspired Taxim www.taximchicago.com.
