Washington Wine: Over-Delivering at Every Price  $45 More ↓

A blind tasting challenge! Taste Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State against the same varietals from other world-class wine regions. Hint: These wines have received similar scores, but sell for very different prices. Will Washington State over-deliver on quality for the price? You be the judge! And don’t be fooled by the misnomer that value means “cheap”; you’ll taste everything from affordable weekday wines to the special-occasion-only splurge.

Learn which traditional wine and food no-go’s can actually work, and what, if anything, should be avoided when selecting a wine to pair with your meal. Tom and his team will artfully prepare tasty bites to try alongside a selection of handpicked wines aimed to compliment or contradict what’s on the plate. You will leave this seminar satiated and savvy!

While Washington State is known for having consistently good vintages, some years have certainly stood out. Taste wines from three celebrated vintages over the past quarter-century, and learn from the winemakers themselves why these vintages created such prized cellar selections.
