The 2011 Italian Food & Wine Expo was held at Carmichael’s Steak House Exhibition Hall from October 13th-15th in Chicago.

The venue is located at 1052 West Monroe behind the restaurant. The exhibition hall was filled with Italian Specialty food and wine from many parts of Italy.



There was also artisanal cheese, olive oil, pastries, jams and jellies from Italy including Sicily and Sardinia.


This was the first trade show of its kind in the United States dedicated to promoting both Italian food and wine under one roof.


The event was presented by the Italian Chambers of Commerce of the Midwest and of Texas.

Vendors shared authentic products from over 70 Italian food and wine producers. There were incredible Italian desserts.


Companies with regional specialties from Tuscany, Sicily, Campania, Puglia and other regions in Italy.

Products from Lazio and Lombardy were also showcased.


There were Lombardy Cooking demonstrations spear-headed by some of Chicago’s top Italian Chefs. The cooking demos offered wine pairings. There were also opportunities to meet wine-makers from Italy.






There were also importers and distributors of specialty Italian products.
